Fishers wants residents’ ideas for Nickel Plate Trail

Photo provided

The City of Fishers says it plans to transform the Nickel Plate Railroad into a whole new kind of public space, and it wants to know what you want to see along the 4.5-mile stretch through Fishers.

Residents are invited to share ideas, interests and passions to help create what the city say will be the next great Fishers experience.

Share what you want your 4.5 miles of trail to be in three easy ways:

  • Online with this form
  • In-person at participating local businesses
  • By mail to City of Fishers, 1 Municipal Dr., Fishers, IN 46038

  1. It’s really pathetic that Fishers is even remotely thinking of removing the tracks. As other countries are increasing rail use as travel and many rails and trails exist, side by side, it’s absolutely terrible. Trains have been replaced by trucks that do much more enviornmental damage and have cost billions, tearing up the Interstates. If I could use train at a reasonable price, I would. Traveled all over London for four pounds a day by rail and bus, when I was over there traveling.
