Dear Editor:

“Black Robe Fever” is a term used by lawyers and police officers to describe judges who let power of their position go to their heads.

Unfortunately, it is hard to say how someone will act until after they have been given the power.

Fortunately, Chadwick Hill, the senior most magistrate in Hamilton County, has already earned the respect of lawyers and law enforcement based on his even-keeled temperament and sound logical reasoning from the bench. These are qualities we all want in a judicial candidate.

With Chadwick Hill, his judicial “personality” has already been vetted by the judges who hired him, the lawyers who have practiced in front of him and the citizens who have been impacted by his rulings. He appropriately balances justice and mercy. He brings civility back to the courtroom with his demeanor. He is a leader!

Chadwick Hill deserves to be the next judge of Hamilton County Superior Court 4. Along with my endorsement, he is endorsed by former judge Steve Nation, former ISP director Doug Carter and former State Senator Jim Merritt

I hope you will endorse him when you vote in this year’s Republican Primary on May 5.
