Blackhawks undertake epic takedown of Tipton

Sheridan’s girls began their stretch of three games in three nights with an overwhelming win at Tipton Wednesday.

The Blackhawks beat the Blue Devils 61-12. Sheridan led 22-2 after one quarter and 43-4 at halftime, so the entire second half was played under a running clock. The ‘Hawks never allowed Tipton more than five points in a quarter.

All nine Sheridan players scored at least four points, led by Nova Cross’ 11 points. Cecilia Timme scored 10 points, made eight steals and dished out seven assists. Brielle Garner made nine steals and Mac Smith provided five assists. Cross, Sadie Timme and Mac Smith all had four steals, with Sadie Timme, Smith, Makenzy Terry and Shelby Eaton all pulling four rebounds.

The Blackhawks are 7-2, having won all seven of their games in a row. They host Bethesda Christian tonight in a 6 p.m. varsity-only contest.
