Sheridan picked up a Hoosier Heartland Conference win at Taylor on Friday, 66-6.
The Blackhawks scored right away, with Jaylan Herron taking the opening kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown. Sheridan added two more touchdowns in the first quarter on runs by Gavin Reners and Cole Webel.
Webel scored again in the second quarter with an eight-yard run, then Jacob Jones rushed 11 yards into the end zone. Herron followed that with a 55-yard punt return for a score, and Reners dashed off for a 57-yard run to make the score 45-0, which is where the first half finished.
Jones added two more long-run touchdowns in the third quarter, and Eli Kolb ran 57 yards for a score in the fourth period.
Webel led the rushing with 113 yards, one of three Blackhawks runners that reached 100 yards rushing. Jones finished with 108 yards and Reners totaled 142 yards.
Sheridan improved to 4-1 in HHC play and are 4-2 overall. The Blackhawks will take a conference break next week, traveling to Seeger.
