Balanced Golden Eagles beat Shortridge

Guerin Catholic used a balanced scoring effort to beat Shortridge 60-14 in a Tuesday night game at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles led 21-2 after the first period and 41-8 at halftime. Katie Koger had an outstanding second quarter, scoring 10 points. Kathryn Loso had six points during the first quarter. Both players would eventually finish in double figures, with Koger scoring 18 points and Loso contributing 12. Koger made a rare four-point play – hitting a 3-pointer while being fouled, then making the subsequent free throw – during the third quarter.
Ten different Guerin Catholic players scored at least two points. Natalie Fernandez added seven points and Ava Bills scored six points. Sutton Worman made a three-point play during the third quarter.
The Golden Eagles are 5-3 and host Yorktown on Friday.
