Did you know you can give plastic bags a second purpose while helping a neighbor in need?
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community this holiday season, the Altrusa Club of Hamilton County will host a hands-on service project to support the homeless. Join them on Friday, Nov. 30, at the Ignite Studio at Hamilton East Public Library in Fishers and lend a helping hand.
Club members and guests will transform plastic bags into crocheted mats that provide a dry, protective barrier from cold or wet ground for those who need a place to sleep or rest.
Anyone is welcome who’s interested in giving back, meeting others in the community, and helping turn something as simple as a plastic bag into something useful for a neighbor in need.
To learn more about Altrusa or get involved, please reach out to Co-President Sharon Porter at sharon@justnoteworthyevents.com.
