Fishers hosted an IHSAA boys swimming sectional preliminary tournament on Thursday.
The Tigers had a perfect evening, as they qualified all 27 of their swims to the “A” Final of the Saturday sectional finals. Fishers picked up seven top seeds along the way.
Luis Sanchez is first-seeded in the individual medley and 500 freestyle, while Alex Koo is the top seed in the 50 and 100 freestyles. Jonathan Hines paced the 200 free, and the Tigers’ 200 and 400 free relays also finished as first seeds.
Hamilton Southeastern advanced all 27 of its swims to the Saturday finals. The Royals qualified 22 swims to the “A” Final, with the other five reaching the “B” Final. Collin Huston picked up a top seed in the breaststroke, while Southeastern’s medley relay also finished as the first seed.
Hamilton Heights sent 19 swims into the finals, with nine making the “A” heat and 10 more qualifying for the “B” heat. The Huskies’ highest seed is in the medley relay, with Gabe Roosa, Owen VanHaaren, Aiden Clarke and Cameron Wheat placing third.
Saturday’s action begins with the diving prelims and semifinals at 9 a.m., followed by the swimming and diving finals at 1 p.m.
