Dear Editor:

The kids are all of ours. They can’t vote yet, so we need to vote for them. That’s why I’m supporting Devon Wellington for Indiana House District 29.

Our community is at a critical moment in regard to public education. Roughly 90 percent of Noblesville students attend public school, yet we as a community have to vote YES on a referendum that shouldn’t be needed in the first place in order to prevent a massive 20 percent funding decrease for those same public schools. Public school funding shouldn’t be up for debate in the form of referendums. It should be guaranteed.

Devon Wellington brings years of education policy experience and a genuine commitment to our community to the table. She’s engaged with local schools and understands the real-world consequences of policy decisions. If anyone can ensure our public schools get the voice and funding they deserve in the future, it’s Devon.

I hope you’ll join me in supporting Devon Wellington. Our kids and educators deserve a strong voice at the Statehouse. History and evidence repeatedly prove that what’s best for the kids is best for all of us.

Now go vote!

The Other Noblesville Devon (Devon Watkins)
