Dear Editor:

As a former public school teacher of nearly two decades and a 22-year resident of Noblesville, I am wholeheartedly supporting Denise Dye for Noblesville School Board.

It is clear that Denise understands the unique role of the school board as the only elected officials charged with representing the community, at large, to the school district and NOT the other way around!

She is committed to financial stewardship, something that is often challenging but 100-percent critical to the board’s job of managing the community’s money wisely. Denise knows that board members must promote total transparency. Her call for an annual, independent financial audit is long overdue. Any corporation overseeing nearly $200 million a year can certainly identify inefficiencies and waste that will more than pay for the audit and bring savings to the school corporation. This will also build trust in the community so when future referendums are being considered and prove to be needed, more voters will be likely to vote yes!

Denise is a team player and will work hard to find common ground on the board with other members who are focused on academic outcomes and supporting great teachers.

I am excited to vote for her and believe she will do a great job representing her constituency: the parents and hard-working taxpayers in our wonderful community!
