Dear Editor:

Having served as a public educator, non-profit administrator in various service-oriented organizations, and volunteer in numerous community outreach efforts in the Hamilton Heights school district for over 55 years, I have had the opportunity to reflect on the contributions students have been able to make after their high school years with their lives as they mature in their communities. These individuals have become responsible husbands and wives, leaders in local, county, state, national and international endeavors, as well as holding down jobs that contribute to improving our quality of life.

One such individual is Robyn Cook, our current Jackson Township Trustee, a former student as well as a person I have had the privilege of working with through the years in securing services for the underserved in our community.

As you may know, township trustees provide for fire protection, cemetery maintenance, and noxious weed complaints, in addition to providing essential services to the residents of the township. Because of its “grassroots” structure, the township trustee system is designed specifically to quickly meet the financial needs of the individual in an emergency.

Reflecting on Robyn’s proven ability to provide the services her office requires I wholeheartedly endorse her for reelection as Jackson Township’s Trustee.
