Hamilton Southeastern Schools (HSE) has announced Emily Supergan as the new principal of Fishers Elementary School. Supergan, a proud Hamilton Southeastern High School alumna, was approved by the HSE Board of School Trustees during a special meeting Thursday morning, July 16.

“This is a full-circle moment for me, and I’m thrilled to return to the district that shaped me as a student,” Supergan said. “Building relationships has always been at the heart of my leadership, and I can’t wait to serve the students, staff and families of Fishers Elementary. Together, we’ll continue building a school community where everyone feels connected, supported and empowered to succeed.”

Supergan has served as an administrator in Carmel Clay Schools since 2021. Before moving into school leadership, she served as an elementary teacher and high school cross-country coach in both MSD Washington Township and Carmel Clay Schools.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and a master’s degree from Butler University. Supergan is also expected to complete her doctoral degree from Indiana University this summer, with her dissertation defense scheduled for next week.

“One of the greatest measures of a school district is when its graduates choose to return and serve the next generation,” said Dr. Danielle Fetters-Thompson, Assistant Superintendent for Foundational Learning. “Emily embodies the values of HSE Schools and brings the passion, energy and relationship-centered leadership that will help the Fishers Elementary community continue to thrive.”

Supergan will assume her new role immediately following board approval and begin preparing to welcome students, staff, and families for the 2026-2027 school year.
