Devon Wellington, Democratic nominee for Indiana House District 29, been named a 2026 Mental Health Now Candidate by Inseparable Action in recognition of her commitment to expanding access to mental health care, improving crisis response, and strengthening the mental health workforce.

An education researcher and small business owner, Wellington has made mental health a cornerstone of her campaign, arguing that mental and physical health cannot be treated as separate issues.

“Mental health support matters at every stage of life, from our kids in school to our parents and grandparents as they age,” Wellington said. “This distinction is a promise to voters that I will always advocate for mental health access and services.”

The Mental Health Now designation is a nonpartisan recognition for candidates who sign a statement of support pledging to prioritize mental health policy, including expanding access to care, strengthening youth mental health services, and improving crisis response systems.

Wellington secured the Democratic nomination for House District 29 in the May 2026 primary and is campaigning ahead of the November general election to represent Noblesville and portions of Fishers.
