Four-way stop coming to State Road 213 south of Omega

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that the intersection of State Road 213 and 266th Street south of Omega and east of Arcadia will be converted to a four-way stop on or after Tuesday, July 21.

The new stop condition will replace the existing two-way stop due to a history of severe right-angle crashes at the intersection. All-way stops are a proven and effective tool in reducing right-angle crashes at lower-traffic-volume intersections.

Flashing LED stop signs will be installed on State Road 213, along with ‘Stop Ahead’ signs and portable message boards marking the new traffic pattern. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
