And every once in a while, makes holes-in-one together.

That’s what Joel Kirsh and his son and Trevor Kirsh did on a recent outing to the Bridgewater Club. Joel and Trevor were playing a family round with Joel’s other son Harrison Kirsh, and both Joel and Trevor made a hole in one during their round.

Trevor made his ace first, on the second hole. He said he will “always remember how pure the shot felt, and how I looked at my dad after it rolled for a few feet and disappeared out of my sight.”

“With No. 2 being up on a hill, and the pin tucked back right, I knew I had hit a good shot but I wasn’t sure how good,” said Trevor. “I shot a look to my dad who said it was a good shot but he did not think it was in the hole.

“When we pulled up to the green, we didn’t see a ball and I wasn’t sure if I’d rolled off but I did ask my brother to check the hole. When he confirmed my Callaway ball with blue markings was in there, I was honestly shocked and didn’t know how to react.”

Not too much later, the group came to the 11th hole.

“On Hole 11, as soon as I hit my shot, I felt like it was a great swing, and both of the boys said, ‘I think that could be in the hole,’” said Joel. “Trevor immediately began recording on his phone our reactions, as well as recording Harrison sprinting up the fairway to the green. We were all in shock and, of course, had an amazing celebration on the green on 11. It was truly a miracle.”

“My dad’s hole-in-one will always stand out to me more than mine, probably because I was 50 times more excited for him,” said Trevor. “We also saw his roll in the hole, after knowing I had one earlier.”

“Needless to say, our favorite memory — and one that will likely be impossible to top — was having both Trevor and me achieve our first holes-in-one during the same round on the same day,” said Joel. “Having Harrison there to join in the experience made it even more special.”
