Trampas Whalin, a longtime Hamilton County attorney and community leader, as officially filed his candidacy for Judge of Hamilton County Superior Court 4, marking a significant milestone in his campaign to bring fairness, integrity, and sound judgment to the bench.

Whalin announced his candidacy earlier this year and has spent the past several months meeting with voters, community leaders, and supporters across Hamilton County. With the Republican Primary election scheduled for May 5, 2026, Whalin says he is energized by the growing support and focused on earning the trust of voters.

“When I announced my campaign this summer, I was incredibly grateful for the encouragement I received from friends, colleagues, and members of our community,” Whalin said. “Over the past seven months, that support has continued to grow. Filing my candidacy today is an important step forward, and I’m excited to continue connecting with voters and sharing my vision for the court.”

Whalin’s judicial philosophy is guided by three core principles: Respect, Reason, and Reliability. He emphasizes treating all individuals with dignity, applying the law with fairness and common sense, and providing consistent, impartial leadership on the bench.

“Justice is more than decisions from the bench,” Whalin said. “It’s about how people are treated, how the law is applied, and whether the court earns the confidence of the public it serves.”

Whalin has dedicated his entire legal career to serving the people of Hamilton County. After graduating with honors from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2010, he began his practice at Adler Law Office in Noblesville. He now leads his own firm, Whalin Legal, where he represents clients in Criminal Law, Civil (Small Claims), and Family Law, the primary areas handled by Superior Court 4.

Beyond his legal practice, Whalin is deeply involved in the community. He is a two-time President of Noblesville Elks Lodge #576, a past President of the Indiana West Central District Elks, founding chairman of the Indiana Elks Endowment Fund for Cancer Research. He is also committed to mentoring future leaders through long-standing volunteer service with Sigma Nu Fraternity.

Within the legal community, Whalin serves as President of the Hamilton County Bar Association, is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, and serves on the Hamilton County Community Corrections Advisory Board.

“With Election Day now less than four months away, I respectfully ask for the support and vote of Hamilton County residents,” Whalin said. “I am ready to serve our community with fairness, integrity, and respect.”

The Republican Primary Election will be held on May 5, 2026.
