The Millers boys basketball team also was at Zionsville on Friday, Jan. 16, playing in the second game of a Hoosier Crossroads Conference girls-boys doubleheader.
It was an intense game throughout, but it would be the Eagles that were able to pull away for a 42-32 Hoosier Crossroads Conference win over the Millers.
Zionsville had a narrow 8-5 lead through one. But, despite it being a low-scoring second, Noblesville outscored the Eagles 7-2 to take a 12-10 slight edge to halftime.
Both offenses woke up a little bit more in the third. The Millers had a one possession lead at 26-23 after three.
Noblesville had miscues in the fourth and Zionsville took advantage of opportunities scoring 19 to the Millers’ six to win by 10.
Noblesville (7-6, 1-2 HCC) gets some time off before hosting Franklin Central next Friday
Valparaiso commit Justin Curry II was out for a third straight game. That left Butler signee Baron Walker to carry the load. Walker paced the Millers with 16, followed by Adam Fine with nine, Luke Fogg with four and Max Flanagan added three.
