The Cheers to Your Health committee has announced details for a fundraising concert to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, set for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28 at Daniel’s Vineyard, 9061 N. County Road 700 West, McCordsville.

The event is organized by Rebecca Johnson, owner of Golden Heart Senior Care, and Lori Silvey, director of community relations at Grand Brook Memory Care of Fishers, along with other senior care professionals. The goal is to create a family-friendly environment to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

With more than seven million people living with the disease, organizers said it’s more important than ever to raise awareness. The free event aims to reach a broader audience through food, wine, and music rather than a traditional classroom setting.

The event has attracted sponsors including Riverview Health and NineStar Connect. Music will be provided by Annie’s Jams, while children can enjoy balloon art from Elfie. Food trucks will be on site with dinner options available for purchase, and donations to the Alzheimer’s Association will be accepted. Attendees can also participate in a silent auction for a chance to win gift baskets.

Everyone is encouraged to bring family and friends to the event. Free tickets are available at bit.ly/3FfWUWc. To stay up to date on event details or make a donation, visit Facebook.com/cheerstoyourhealthIN.
