The Hamilton County Reporter has named Westfield freshman Alexandra Grilliot its Girls Tennis Player of the Year.
Grilliot had an outstanding first year playing for the Shamrocks. She cruised through an undefeated regular season, then helped Westfield defend its sectional, regional and semi-state championships on the way to a state semifinal finish. Grilliot then reached the individual state singles final, where she fell in three sets for her only loss of the year. She was 29-1.
