Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy partners with Fishers Art Center to launch Music & Movement Class for seniors

Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy has announced its new partnership with Fishers Art Center to offer a unique Music and Movement class specifically designed for seniors aged 55 and older.

This innovative program aims to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of participants through the joy of music and movement. Classes will commence on Tuesday, May 6, providing a welcoming environment for seniors to engage in creative expression while fostering connections with their peers.

These free classes will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: May 6, 13, 20, 27, and June 3 and 10.

The Music and Movement class will incorporate a variety of musical styles and movement activities tailored to the abilities and interests of older adults. The class will be led by Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy voice instructor and theater director Miss Abby-Rose. Participants will explore rhythm, melody, and movement in a fun and supportive setting. This program not only promotes physical activity but also encourages cognitive engagement and emotional expression, making it an ideal opportunity for seniors to stay active and connected within the community.

“We believe that music has the power to enrich lives at any age,” said Ji-Eun Lee, founder of Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy. “Our partnership with Fishers Art Center allows us to bring this enriching experience to seniors, helping them to discover new passions and build lasting friendships.”
