Tigers get another conference win

Fishers won its another Hoosier Crossroads Conference game on Tuesday, pulling away from host Zionsville in the fourth quarter for a 72-57 victory.

The Tigers outscored the Eagles in each quarter, leading 14-11 after one period and 32-18 at halftime. Makayla Triplett had a nice first half with three 3-pointers, which translated to nine points. Nevaeh Dickman added eight points and Riley Schellhammer made two triples for six points.

Schellhammer stepped up big from in the second half, making all 10 of her free-throw attempts. She also made another 3 in the fourth quarter for 19 points. Allison Scheu took over the game in the fourth with nine points; Fishers outscored Zionsville 22-14 in that quarter. Scheu also totaled 19 points.

Dickman and Triplett both added 13 points to give the Tigers four double-digit scorers.

Fishers is 2-0 in conference play and 5-2 overall. The Tigers host Fort Wayne Snider on Saturday.
