On Sunday, Oct. 6, Democrats gathered at Wyndham Westfield Legends Hall, 18592 Carousel Lane, Westfield, for a rally and fundraiser hosted by Rep. Fady Qaddoura, Rep. Ed Delaney, and Rep. Carey Hamilton.

Speakers included Governor Candidate Jennifer McCormick, Attorney General Candidate Destiny Wells, Rep. Victoria Garcia Wilburn, and several others.

Two days later, on Tuesday, Oct. 8, friends and supporters of Indiana Senate District 20 Candidate Joel Levi gathered at the home of local businessman Brett Morrow in downtown Cicero. Levi spent the evening talking with and answering questions from everyone present.

Levi spoke briefly about his educational background, his career in healthcare, why his family chose to buy a home in Cicero, what makes Hamilton County special, and why he has chosen to run for public office.

“In my heart of hearts, I’m a musician and an artist, but I’m also a concerned father,” Levi said. “I’m a pursuer of peace and safety. I’m a pursuer of justice and equality. I care about the safety of my son, but I also care about the safety of all Hoosiers. I want my son to feel included, but I also want every single Hoosier to feel included regardless of race, gender, or religion. That’s why I’m running. I’m running to make Indiana a safer and more inclusive state.”

You can learn more about Levi and how to contact his campaign on our candidates pages at the end of today’s edition of The Hamilton County Reporter.
