The Hamilton Southeastern baseball team won a Hoosier Crossroads Conference and all-county game with Westfield 6-0 Thursday at Ken Seitz Field.
The Royals got on the board in the second inning with three runs. Michael Hoog scored on an error, then Luke Sivak got home after Colin Goley reached on error. Alex Billman singled in Nolan Colbert for the third run.
Southeastern added two runs in the fourth inning. Billman hit a one-out double, then Kian Kelly came in to run for him. Kelly scored after Kam Seitz got a center field hit, then Seitz was brought in by Hoog’s right field hit.
Sivak singled in Kelly for a fifth inning run. Billman finished the game with two hits. Ethan Lund was dominant, throwing 15 strikeouts in six and two-thirds innings while giving up just three hits. Hoog pitched the final out, throwing a strikeout.
Alex Rudolph hit a double for the Shamrocks. Ty Anderson went four innings, tossing four strikeouts.
The Royals are 4-7 in HCC play and 11-12 overall, while Westfield is 5-6 in the conference and 12-10 overall. The two teams finish the HCC series tonight at the Shamrocks’ field.

Noblesville rolled to another HCC victory on Thursday, beating Brownsburg 11-1 in five innings at Don Dunker Field.
Aiden Reynolds and Joe Glander both had two hits for the Millers. That included a two-run triple for Glander in the third inning and an RBI double for Reynolds in the fourth inning. Reynolds totaled three RBIs, while Glander and McCoy Fulk both drove in two runs. Those three players each scored two runs, as did Trevor Corbett.
Beckett Doane pitched all five innings, striking out six and allowing two hits.
Noblesville is 11-0 in conference play and 19-3 overall. The Millers travel to Brownsburg tonight to complete the HCC series.

Fishers also cruised to an HCC win on Thursday, beating Franklin Central 14-6 in a home game.
The game was tied 1-1 after two innings, but the Tigers took control with eight runs in the third inning. Ben Hammond went 2-for-4 at the plate, driving in four runs while scoring two. Huston Dunn was 3-for-4; he scored three runs and batted in two more. Jack Brown hit a solo home run to lead off the fourth inning, while Jase Ruggles cracked an RBI double in the sixth inning.
Ruggles had two hits and totaled two RBIs and two runs scored. Caulin Brown and Gavin Kuzniewski both batted in two runs also. Jack Brown was 2-for-2 at the plate and got the pitching win, with seven strikeouts over five and a third innings.
The Tigers are 8-3 in the conference and 18-7 overall. Fishers plays at Franklin Central tonight to complete the series.

Hamilton Heights dropped a 6-4 home game to McCutcheon on Thursday.
The Mavericks scored three runs in the top of the first inning. The Huskies got a run back in the bottom of the first; Phoenix Vondersaar got home on John Irion’s sacrifice fly. But McCutcheon added two more runs in the second inning and was in control from there.
Kyle Michael batted in a third inning run with a right field single to score Nick Hulen. Heights added two runs in the fifth inning: Dillon Pitts singled in Hulen, then scored on Michael’s left field double.
Hulen was 3-for-4 at the plate; both he and Logan Hickman also hit a double. Michael and Levi Chandler both had two hits.
The Huskies are 11-10 and host Lafayette Central Catholic at 7 p.m. tonight in the Hoosier Conference third-place game.
