Sheridan dropped an away game 79-73 at Cowan on Thursday.
The Blackhawks led 18-17 after one quarter and 35-33 at halftime. Cowan took the lead by the end of a high-scoring third period, going up 61-59, then added another 18 points in the fourth quarter to clinch the game.
Caleb Wright scored 22 points for Sheridan and also pulled six rebounds. Trent DeCraene reached double-double status with 16 points and 10 assists, while Damon Winston had 14 points and two blocked shots. Trey Page contributed nine rebounds, eight points and five assists. Owen Bell made five steals.
Sheridan is 11-8 and hosts Western Boone on Monday; the game was moved from Saturday due to the Blackhawks girls team playing in the semi-state.
