Members of the Hamilton Heights High School Drama Department cordially invite the community to follow the yellow brick road in its delightful production of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film.
This timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, continues to thrill audiences worldwide. There, she encounters a host of whimsical characters: good witches, bad witches, animals that talk, scarecrows that walk, and things magical to behold.
The three special performances (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Feb. 16, 17, and 18) will feature many of the most beloved songs and moments from the 1939 classic film, brought to life onstage by our incredible cast of talented student performers. The production runs for about two hours with one intermission and promises to be fun for all ages.
The play is being directed by Hamilton Heights Theatre teacher Brooks Myers in collaboration with Jill Howell, Hamilton Heights Middle School/High School Choir teacher, members of the drama department, and students from Hamilton Heights Middle School.
Tickets are $6 and available online at hhschuskies.org. Tickets can also be purchased at the door before the shows. All proceeds benefit the High School Drama Department.
Hamilton Heights High School is located at 25802 State Road 19, Arcadia.
