Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam announced on Wednesday that Christian Chamberlain will serve as deputy chief of staff for the City of Carmel, beginning Feb. 19.

As deputy chief of staff, Chamberlain will support the day-to-day operations of the city, working alongside Chief of Staff Jim Crider to advance key initiatives.

“Our future success depends upon efficient and effective operations and Christian will play an important role in advancing critical administrative efforts,” Finkam said.

Currently serving as Director of Advance Planning for the Office of Lt. Gov. of Indiana, Chamberlain previously worked for the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs and BMW of North America. He studied political science at the University of Southern Indiana.

“I am honored to join a talented team of professionals supporting Mayor Finkam’s ambitious vision for this world-class city,” Chamberlain said.
