July 28, 1949 – July 28, 2023
Donald Joseph Nolan Jr., 74, Fishers, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. He was born on July 28, 1949, to the late Donald and Anna Rita (Gavaghan) Nolan in Indianapolis.
Donald proudly served in the United States Navy and the Indiana National Guard for 19 years. He worked for Meijer and ran the back room for many years. Donald was a very hard worker and loved his job and all of his coworkers. He never met a stranger and anyone he came in contact with was always a friend.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Phyllis Nolan, whom he adored tremendously. They spent every moment together when they could after Don worked over 60 hours a week. He has two children, Terry and Randy, who he loved so much; and three fur babies, Raggy, Jaxon, and Jakob, who were like his kids. Don has five beautiful grandchildren of whom he was very proud, Amanda Reed, Rachel Wernersbach, Jake Woloshin, Zachary Woloshin, and Justin Moore; and four great-grandchildren with one on the way. He is survived by three siblings, Mary Anne Mitchel, Terry Hergenrather, and Mike Nolan. Don loved being with his family especially at family gatherings. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers.
