Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank looking for donations through July 5 for 4-H Livestock Auction

Please consider a monetary donation towards Meating the Need 2022 today.

This joint project between Hamilton County 4-H Beef, Dairy, and Swine Projects and Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank will provide over 4,000 pounds of local beef and pork to friends and families in need through the county’s food support network.

In its history, the program has already provided over 22,611 pounds of meat for county food pantries and meals programs.

On Tuesday, July 19 at the 4-H Livestock Auction, the Food Bank will purchase, with help from donors, beef and dairy cattle and hogs from 15 local 4-H members. Meating the Need donations go toward the sale of the animals and to the 4-H members as they pursue their 4-H, education, and life goals.

Any monetary donation amount is appreciated, and if you donate at least $250 by Tuesday, July 5, you will be recognized on the 4-H fair banner, and in local press.

Meating the Need provides healthy local protein for the area’s most vulnerable children and families and strengthens the partnerships between local farm families and the greater community.

Check donations can be made to Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank, P.O. Box 881, Noblesville, IN 46061, Memo: Meating the Need.  Donate online at hchfoodbank.org/online-giving and designate Meating the Need.
