White River now open through Noblesville

The White River is now fully open for all recreational activities through Noblesville.

The waterway restriction that was in place for construction of the new Pleasant Street bridge has been lifted, and buoys have been removed, giving waterway users access to use the full width of the river.

City officials have coordinated with the White River Canoe Company to help alert boaters and others about the restrictions being lifted.

NOTE: While the restrictions are lifted, the surrounding area is still an active construction zone. Be cautious as you navigate the river and refrain from entering the construction zone.

The construction is part of Reimagine Pleasant Street, which is a multi-phased transportation improvement project with the goal of improving mobility and complementing the growth of Noblesville.

The critical first phase, which includes the construction of a new White River Bridge, will be open by the end of 2024. Construction for Phases 2 and 3 have begun, and the entire corridor will be open to traffic by the end of 2025.
