Westfield sweeps Lafayette Jeff, Fishers racks up perfect week, Southeastern sweeps Brownsburg

The Westfield volleyball team swept Lafayette Jefferson in a Tuesday road match.

The Shamrocks won 25-20, 25-22, 25-15. Carlo Huidsen hit 13 kills, while Dominic Parisi put down seven kills. Nick Gerow made four blocks and Chase Graff led the defense with a passer rating of .267.

Westfield dropped a five-set match at Franklin Central on Wednesday, 25-22, 23-25, 11-25, 26-24, 17-15. The Shamrocks rebounded with a four-set win over Hamilton Southeastern on Thursday, 25-15, 25-18, 22-25, 25-18. Huisden put down 16 kills, followed by 11 for CJ Fox and eight for Parisi. Graham Weddige dished out 37 assists. Fletcher Farrar made four blocks and Graff had 21 digs.

Westfield hosts No. 1-ranked Brebeuf Jesuit on Tuesday.

Fishers has had a perfect week so far, picking up three straight-set victories.

The Tigers began the week with a sweep of Franklin Central on Monday, beating the Flashes 25-16, 25-19, 30-28. On Tuesday, Fishers traveled to Guerin Catholic and picked up another sweep, winning 25-12, 25-20, 25-15. The Tigers returned home on Thursday to beat Perry Meridian 25-18, 25-17, 26-24.

Fishers hosts its 10th annual March Madness Tournament today, with matches beginning at 11 a.m.

Prior to its match with Westfield, Hamilton Southeastern traveled to Brownsburg on Monday and scored a sweep of the Bulldogs, 25-14, 25-21, 25-12.

The Royals followed that up Tuesday with a four-set home victory over Bishop Chatard. Southeastern won 25-15, 23-25, 25-13, 25-21. The Royals will also play in the Fishers March Madness Tournament today.
