Westfield spring cleaning reminders

Spring is officially here and the city is reminding residents of a few ways to help out with this year’s spring cleaning.

“One of the compliments I get from both residents and visitors is how clean the Westfield community is,” Mayor Andy Cook said. “The city administration doesn’t achieve this alone. We are always proud of the way our residents chip in and help make our roads, sidewalks and parks as presentable as possible.”

WeConnect, the customer service portal for Westfield’s residents and visitors, features a litter locator button, as well as a road hazard button. These allow residents to report areas of the city where trash has become a problem, as well as alert the city to debris in roadways, line of sight issues, or other problems that may make travel unsafe.

Residents can utilize the WeConnect reporting tools by either visiting weconnect.westfield.in.gov or by selecting the WeConnect tool through the city’s mobile app, available on iTunes and GooglePlay.

The city will also be coordinating a heavy trash drop-off day as has been done in years past. This year’s heavy trash drop-off will occur on Saturday, May 13, from 8 a.m. to Noon. Another heavy trash drop-off will occur in October.
