The Westfield Library Foundation is getting into the holiday spirit with the return of its popular Christmas Tree Raffle.
The Foundation will officially kick off its eighth annual fundraiser with a festive tree unveiling and family-friendly celebration from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Westfield Washington Public Library, 17400 Westfield Blvd.
The event, called Jingle & Mingle, will give the community its first look at this year’s collection of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each sponsored by a local business. First Bank Midwest is serving as the presenting sponsor, with additional tree sponsorships provided by IPEP, Medallion Partners, APEX Benefits, and Dean Ballenger Agency.
Each tree is custom-designed and decorated by Erin Downey, Executive Director of the Westfield Library Foundation and an interior designer.
“This is one of my favorite events of the year because it brings together so many things I love,” Downey said. “Plus, every raffle ticket purchased helps us provide programs and experiences that make our library such a special place.”
In addition to unveiling the trees, Saturday’s celebration will feature Santa’s Workshop, letter writing to Santa, photos with Santa’s elves, and a Christmas tree scavenger hunt. Visitors can also purchase raffle tickets and select which trees they’d like a chance to win.
The Jingle & Mingle celebration is free and open to the public. For more information about the raffle or to purchase tickets, visit westfieldlibraryfoundation.com or stop by the Westfield Washington Public Library.
