Volleyball: Noblesville sweeps Delta, Southeastern bests Westfield

The Noblesville volleyball team picked up another win on Wednesday, sweeping Delta 25-14, 25-17, 25-22 at The Mill.

With the victory, the Millers are 13-2 for the season. Noblesville plays a Hoosier Crossroads Conference match tonight at Zionsville; the Millers are 2-1 in the conference.

On Tuesday, the Millers beat Hamilton Heights in a five-set match on the road. Sophomore Reese Resmer hit 21 kills for Noblesville, with senior Aubrey Stitcher hitting 12 kills and serving three aces. Senior Maddie Coates hit two aces.

Coates led the defense with 16 digs, while Stitcher and sophomore Madison Brown both collected 13 digs and senior Anna Elkin had 12. Brown handed out 50 assists. Junior Chloe Macias had five blocks, with senior Riley Resmer and Reese Resmer both making three blocks.

Hamilton Southeastern won an all-county and HCC match at Westfield on Wednesday, 25-10, 25-16, 25-15.

The Royals remain unbeaten at 17-0 and are 4-0 in conference play. Southeastern stats will appear in a later edition.

The Shamrocks’ offense was led by Carsyn Comer’s eight kills, followed by Georgia Bresnahan with five. Izzy Jackson handed out 11 assists, while Lilly Stanton dished out 10.

The Royals host Roncalli on Tuesday. Westfield is 1-3 in conference play and 8-10 overall, and hosts Delta on Saturday.

Sheridan dropped a four-set Hoosier Heartland Conference match at Clinton Prairie on Wednesday, 25-27, 25-22, 25-22, 26-24.

The Blackhawks are 3-2 in conference play and 11-9 overall, and hosts Delphi tonight for Senior Night.

Sheridan fell to Frankfort on Tuesday. Val Adams served five aces for the Blackhawks and scored 16 service points. Nova Cross and Meredith Krupp both had two aces. Trinity Parkin put down 13 kills, followed by Kenzie Garner with five. Cross handed out 16 assists. Garner and Cross both made one solo block.

Garner collected 20 digs, followed by Cross with 18, Parkin with 11, Krupp with seven and Ali Pickard with six.
