Volleyball: Millers beat ‘Hounds, Almodovar blasts 25 kills

In an all-county volleyball match-up, Noblesville beat Carmel in four sets Wednesday, 25-18, 25-15, 26-28, 25-19.
Lexie Almodovar blasted 25 kills for the Millers. Alexa Roberts hit 18 kills, with Emily Kiser putting down eight. Brenna Everingham made 14 digs, while Maddie Hine dished out 53 assists, along with scooping up 13 digs.

Hamilton Heights was a four-set winner over Lapel on Wednesday, 25-13, 25-21, 18-25, 25-17.
Ana Collar collected 15 digs, along with 11 attacks, one block and one ace. Hannah Crist also had 15 digs, plus 11 attacks and one block. Sydney Griffey made 10 attacks, nine digs and served an ace.

Westfield dropped a four-set match to Muncie Burris, 25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 27-25, on Wednesday.
Grace Weber and Kinsey McAfee both hit 11 kills, with Ellary Detamore serving three aces. Hillary Muntel had one solo block and one block assist. Claire Hindman and Raigan Stanifer both made 12 digs. Caroline Sinicki handed out 20 assists, while Sarah Weglarz provided 15 assists.
