Vickie Sue Dial, 72, Atlanta, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her residence.
She was born in Anderson on June 18, 1951, to the late Warren and Marilyn (Dobson) Belt. On January 10, 1970, she married Steven Allen Dial and they shared 46 years of marriage.
Vickie was a homemaker and loved caring for her children and family. She loved animals, gardening, and bird watching, especially hummingbirds. In her younger years, Vickie enjoyed roller skating and that is where she met the love of her life. Vickie and Steven were both skating at Rainbo Roller Rink in Noblesville when they met one another, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Vickie is survived by her children, Lonnie (Amy) Dial of Atlanta and Donna Dial of Tipton; grandchildren, Rachelle (Riley) Davidson, Michael Dial, Alyssa (Dylan) Chilton, Treyton Trent, Dakota Dial, Blake Dial, Dustin Dial, Alexus Dial, Zayne Dial, and Jesse Bowers; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Belt of Indianapolis and Barbara Murdock of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Warren & Marilyn Belt, and her husband, Steven Allen Dial.
The family has chosen cremation and has entrusted Hartley Funeral Homes with Vickie’s care.
