Veterans Support Network gets $5,500 grant from Duke Energy

In honor of Veterans Day, the Duke Energy Foundation announced on Nov. 11 nearly $50,000 in grants to 10 Indiana organizations that serve veterans and military families.

Locally, the Veterans Support Network of Hamilton County received a $5,500 grant.

The funding will provide rental, mortgage, food, and home and auto repair assistance to veterans.

“Veterans embody service, leadership and commitment – qualities that strengthen our communities every day,” Duke Energy Indiana President Stan Pinegar said. “These grants are a token of our appreciation and a way to help local partners deliver the housing, counseling and basic needs that veterans and their families deserve.”
