Guerin Catholic golf wins conference title

The Guerin Catholic boys golf team won the Circle City Conference tournament, which took place Monday at Golf Club of Indiana in Zionsville.

The Golden Eagles scored 303 as a team. Eli Wessel and Cooper Howard both scored 74 for Guerin Catholic, the lowest mark of the day. The two Golden Eagles competed in a playoff for medalist, with Howard winning.

Other GC scores were Brady Wagner 75, Andrew Williamson 79 and Myles Ray 81.

On Saturday, April 4, the Golden Eagles finished second at the Seymour Owl Invitational at Shadowood.

Bloomington South won the event with 303, followed by Guerin Catholic with 313. Eli Wessel led GC with 72, followed by Brady Wagner 77, Myles Ray 81, Andrew Williamson 83 and Cooper Howard 83.
