Thorns, a horror film shot entirely in Michigan and created by Michigan-based independent filmmakers Doug and Julie Schulze, premiered at the Emagine Royal Oak Theatre in Michigan last month.

The film’s release has expanded and opened on Thursday at Emagine Noblesville, located in the Hamilton Town Center.

To celebrate opening weekend at Emagine Noblesville, actress Cassandra Schomer, who plays Sister Agnes, will be on-site tonight, Friday, March 15 to introduce the 9:20 p.m. film to the audience.

Tickets are available online at Emagine-Entertainment.com, at the Box Office, or on the Emagine App.

In Thorns, Archbishop Jenkins (played by Doug Bradley) mentors an ex-priest working for NASA who is sent to investigate a remote observatory that went silent after receiving a mysterious radio signal from deep space. Upon arrival, he discovers the signal opened a portal unleashing a thorned monster. The former priest must now summon his lost faith to stop the signal from spreading hell on earth.

In her youth, she also sung in Carnegie Hall in New York City with an elite choir comprised of select U.S. and Japanese women’s ensembles. She is a native of and currently resides in West Lafayette, Ind.
