Three Hamilton County golfers finished in the top 10 at the 125th Indiana Amateur Championship, which took place June 28 to 30 at Ackerman-Allen Course at Purdue University.

Two local players were involved in a six-way tie for third place. Will Harvey, the recent Westfield state champion soon to become a Boilermaker, and Cole Starnes, the Hamilton Southeastern graduate now at Indiana University, both carded 54-hole scores of 207, placing them six under par for the event. Starnes made two eagles during his second round (hole Nos. 6 and 16) in addition to collecting 10 birdies at the event, while Harvey made 13 birdies across his three rounds.

Carmel’s Sean Busch was part of a three-way tie for 10th place, scoring a four under 209. Busch also made 13 birdies during his round.
