March 7, 1955 – July 27, 2025
Teresa Kay Clark took her first breath on March 7, 1955, in Monmouth, Ill., and took her last breath on July 27 at the Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.
Teresa lived a rich life full of love, faith, and service. From her birthplace to her most recent home in Arcadia, as well as through all of the 39 different places that she lived and served, including Rwanda, Africa, and Cairo, Egypt, Teresa’s indomitable spirit shone brightly in every place that her family moved to. She either made each place into a home or made herself at home with family who provided her a home, with warmth and love; such was the strength of her dedication.
A loyal wife to her husband, Ron Clark, since November 9, 1975, and a spirited mother to her children, Aaron and Rachel, Teresa was a Proverbs 31 woman of unwavering commitment, diligence, and love for her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Teresa was a courageous homemaker, homeschool teacher, did private duty home-care, was a supervisor of Indiana Academy students at Zee Medical corporation, was a teacher’s assistant at the Church school in Joliet, Ill., and later worked in the bindery, then served as an accounts payable clerk at the Review & Herald Publishing Association in Hagerstown, Md. Before her retirement in 2018, Teresa was the Co-Director of the Adventist Community Service Center in St. Louis. During her tenure, she was a diligent and efficient worker.
She also loved working puzzles, laying out in the sun, being at the beach, and going on family vacations. She was a skilled seamstress and loved crafts and painting. She embraced life with open arms. Beyond this, she was known for her mouth-watering meals, reflecting her love for her family and her knack for turning the mundane into something special.
A devoted Seventh-day Adventist, Teresa served others with genuine care and concern and was beloved by every local Church of which she was a member. People knew that she loved them. Her greatest joy was being a member of the Cicero Church, where her son, Aaron, is the Senior Pastor. She was an active prayer partner of the women’s ministry group and served in various capacities in the church. She loved being a member of a close-knit Monday night Women’s prayer group. Her life was prayer-focused, making her a beacon of faith and hope for those around her.
Teresa loved all of her family members on both sides. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Ron Clark; her son, Aaron (Sarah) Clark; her daughter, Rachel Clemmer; her grandchildren, Kirsten, Savannah, Ember, Isaac, Lilah, and Eden. Her sisters, Janet Carnes, Carol Kenealy, and Billie Paniagua, and each one of their family members, as well as 14 of her living cousins, and their families.
Teresa’s memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sabbath, Aug. 23, 2025, at the Cicero Seventh-day Adventist Church, 24445 State Road 19, Cicero.
We encourage those who knew and loved Teresa to share memories and upload photos to the memorial page. Your shared experiences honor God and give glory to Him, by remembering Teresa, and those memories in our hearts, remind us of the courage, dedication, loyalty, and spirited nature, that God gave Teresa throughout her lifetime that touched our lives, to encourage us all to choose Jesus as she did, so that we can see Teresa again when Jesus returns!
