Tennis: No. 5 ‘Rocks win county dual meet

Westfield won an all-county dual meet with Noblesville 5-0 Tuesday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference dual meet.
The Shamrocks, who have soared to No. 5 in the coaches poll, remain undefeated at 6-0 for the season. Westfield hosts No. 7 Fishers on Thursday in another HCC meet.

No. 2 singles: Quentin Markle def. Michael Krukover 6-0, 6-0
No. 3 singles: Harrison Sindelar def. Josh Middleton 6-2, 6-1
No. 1 doubles: Nicholas Mabe and Brett Barnes def. Evan Voigt and Zach Greer 1-6, 6-4, 6-2
No. 2 doubles: Connor Housefield and Christian Emigh def. Jonathan Maskew and Sean Vitales 6-1, 6-0

Guerin Catholic beat Bishop Chatard 3-2 Tuesday in a Circle City Conference dual meet at Broad Ripple Park.
Thomas Darland won 7-6, 6-3 at No. 2 singles to clinch the meet.

Hamilton Southeastern, ranked No. 23 in the latest poll, dropped a tough dual meet to No. 11 North Central 3-2 Tuesday.
No. 2 singles, freshman Paul Schneider won 6-0, 6-2, while the No. 2 doubles team of seniors Jackson Bill and Logan Hubbard won 6-4, 6-4. The No. 1 doubles team of Andrew Spirrison and Daniel Verde battled and had some great serving games before the Panthers won 6-3, 7-5.
“Overall, I thought our doubles teams played very well tonight,” said Royals coach Kirk Webber. “It would have been great to get the win at #1 doubles, but they should be proud of the way they battled.”
Southeastern hosts No. 20 Brownsburg today in an HCC dual meet.
