Tennis: Fishers girls win third HCC tournament in four years

The Fishers girls tennis team won the Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet, which took place last Saturday at Hamilton Southeastern.

The Tigers scored 41 points to claim their third championship over the past four years. Fishers won four of the five divisions: No. 1 singles Mischa Briggs, No. 2 singles Izzy Mokra, No. 1 doubles Emma Beehler and Cassie Maurer and No. 2 doubles Maddie Baron and Meredith Ober. All of those players were named to the all-HCC teams.

Zionsville was the runner-up team with 31 points, with Noblesville third, scoring 26 points. The Millers had four players (three positions) earn All-HCC honors: No. 1 singles Bella Duncan, No. 2 singles Allie Stamm and No. 1 doubles Lina Hamashuk and Cami Crist.

Hamilton Southeastern and Westfield both scored 22 points to tie for fourth place.
