Westfield Washington Schools (WWS) has announced Taylor Gee as the district’s new Assistant Director of Transportation. Her appointment was approved by the WWS Board of School Trustees during its Oct. 13 meeting.

“We look forward to Taylor officially joining the team and we are very confident in her ability to help us keep moving forward with our work in transportation,” said WWS Assistant Superintendent Dr. Greg Hunt.

Gee joins WWS with experience in school transportation operations, staff leadership, student support, and family communication. She most recently served as Transportation Manager for MSD Washington Township, where she helped oversee transportation services supporting more than 11,000 students and supervised a team of 113 employees, including drivers, assistants, and office staff.

In that role, Gee supported daily transportation operations, employee training and development, route coordination, and communication with families and school administrators. Her experience also includes improving departmental procedures, supporting students with specialized transportation needs, and helping staff respond to operational challenges.

As WWS continues working to improve transportation operations, strengthen team culture, and recruit and retain school bus drivers, Gee will play an important role. Her responsibilities will include working alongside transportation leadership and staff to improve routing efficiency, strengthen communication, and provide consistent, reliable service to students and families.

“I am honored to be named Assistant Director of Transportation for Westfield Washington Schools and grateful for the opportunity to join this community,” Gee said. “I look forward to working alongside the Transportation team to build on its ongoing efforts to provide safe, reliable, and efficient service to students and families. My priorities include understanding the needs of our transportation staff and ensuring they have the support and resources necessary to serve our school community effectively. I also aim to improve routing efficiency so students arrive at school safely and on time, while strengthening consistency in transportation services and communication with families, community members, and district staff.”

In addition to her transportation leadership experience, Gee holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from Indiana University. Her background includes working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address barriers to educational access and provide individualized support.

Gee’s appointment comes as WWS works to improve its Transportation Department, including betterments to daily operations, employee recruitment, and the opening of its new Transportation Center.

WWS looks forward to welcoming Gee to the district and supporting her work to strengthen transportation services for students, families, and staff.
