The Noblesville swim team competed in a three-way meet with North Central and University Tuesday at the Millers’ aquatic center.
In the girls meet, the Millers beat the Trailblazers 90-9, but fell to the Panthers 59-43. North Central also beat University 87-9. Noblesville had three event wins, starting with Sophie Resner, Fiona Halvorsen, Emily Knott and Exley Tricker placing first in the medley relay.
Later, Caroline Santerre was first in the individual medley, then joined Resner, Julia Santerre and Emily Knott to win the 200 free relay.
In the boys meet, the Millers won 82-19 over the ‘Blazers and dropped the meet to North Central 76-26. The Panthers also beat University 85-12. Parker Mutter won the diving event.
Noblesville coach Aleks Fansler said the Millers are a young team, but said the season has been progressing well so far.
“The mentality’s been great,” said Fansler. “It’s been an amazing team. We’re very young, but they’re excited and eager and they’re working really hard. There’s still a learning curve they have.”
Noblesville will swim again Thursday, when it hosts Zionsville in a dual meet.
“The group’s great,” said Fansler. “They’re progressing really well. I think they’re learning, which is fun to watch.”
University’s highest finish at the meet came from Neiman Kumler in the boys meet, as he placed third in the IM and the breaststroke.
