Barktoberfest returns for the fifth year this weekend. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9 at Asa Bales Park, 205 W. Hoover St., Westfield.
This annual event supports the Humane Society for Hamilton County through proceeds of ticket sales and adoptable pets available on-site. Pet-related vendors, food vendors, activities for both humans and dogs including a canine agility course, professional photo station and caricatures will be featured. The highlight of the afternoon will be the Pet Costume Contests taking place at noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at westfieldwelcome.com for $5 or on-site on Saturday (card only). You can register in advance for the Pet Costume Contests online as well.
