Sturdevants celebrate 60th anniversary

Submitted

Please join us in wishing Fred and Kay Sturdevant the happiest of anniversaries as they celebrate their 60th year of marriage.

Fred Junior Sturdevant of Sheridan and Kay Marlene McFarland of Goldsmith were wed on August 30, 1959, in the Goldsmith Methodist Church. Fred’s military service and work led them to create loving homes for their growing family in California, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and back to settle in Indiana for the past 40 years.

They are active members of the Carmel United Methodist Church, volunteering to serve their community in various ways. Fred and Kay have raised four children who have given them seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild to date.

The couple loves to travel, garden, and spend time with family, near and far. Working together, Fred and Kay have rarely met a Sudoku or crossword puzzle they could not complete.

On this occasion of their 60th anniversary, the extended family wish to express their deepest gratitude for Fred and Kay’s incredible example of commitment, faith, and devotion as we celebrate the love they share and the legacy they’ve built.
