Steven Kent Allen, 68, Noblesville, went to be “in the hands of the good Lord” on Friday, April 10, 2020. He was born on February 21, 1952 to the late Charles “Punk” and Emma “Jean” (Robbins) Allen in Noblesville.
Steve honorably served in the United States Navy. He was the 1972 Sailor of the Year and nominated Sublant Sailor of the Atlantic Fleet in 1974. He retired in 2010 from Delco/Delphi after 30 years of service. Steve was also a lifelong farmer, jack of all trades, animal lover and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a loving husband, brother, stepfather, friend and PROUD Papaw. Steve attended Eagle Creek Evangelical Friends Church and was a member of the Westfield Friends Church and the American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Colleen Allen; twin sister, Susan Allen; stepchildren, Marla Stroup, Brad (Michelle) Stroup, Alysha (Andrew) Currie and Laura (Logan) Bowers; 10 precious grandchildren; as well as many close friends and extended family.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. The family requests social distancing precautions and masks to be worn for those attending.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in Steve’s honor.
