Steven F. Sowers of Noblesville passed away at home on April 14, 2023. He was born on February 12, 1942, to Howard Sowers and Ruthella Bowman Sowers Hanner. Steve graduated from Noblesville High School in 1960.
Steve worked for NG Gilbert Services for over 20 years before he and his wife JoLynn started their own business, Sower’s Upholstery, in Cicero. He enjoyed restoring old cars, rocking on the porch, and mowing his yard.
He is survived by his children, Jack (spouse, Laurie) Sowers Coonce, Sara (spouse, Stan) Sowers Coonce Rasmussen, and Scott Sowers Coonce; stepchildren, Deborah Miller Thatcher, Donna (spouse, Tony) Craig, Margo Stutesman Kinser, Jeff (Carolyn) Stutesman, and Mark Stutesman; his sisters, JeanAnn Sowers Cash and Ginny Sowers Scherer; along with several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, JoLynn Miller Sowers, and his former spouse, Marjorie Stutesman Sowers.
The family will welcome friends at a celebration of life from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 28 at Red Bridge Park Community Building in Cicero.
