Step on stage this weekend in Carmel

Whether you have plenty of experience acting or you have never stepped on stage before, Carmel Community Players (CCP) wants you.

CCP will stage “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” as the opening play for the 2019-20 season and this is your chance to stand in the spotlight.

Open auditions with Director Jan Jamison will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 and Monday July 22 at the Cat theater, 254 Veterans Way, Carmel.

According to Jamison, the cast calls for two black male and two female actors.

Available roles (with stage ages) are:

  • Two black women and one black man, ages ranging from mid-50s to mid-60s.
  • One black male actor his mid-30s.
  • One white female in her early 20s.
  • One white female in her mid-40s.
  • One white female in her early- to mid-60s
  • One white male in his early to mid-60s.
  • One white male in his early 60s to mid-70s

“Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” was written by Todd Kreidler and is based on the screenplay by William Rose. Come out to the Cat Sunday or Monday night for your chance to be a star.
