Welcome back to sunny days, green grass, colorful flowers and outdoor fun. Gardening, community outings, Spring Fling, and golf and batting are just a few of the many activities happening at Janus during the spring.

The Master Gardeners of Hamilton County have been involved with the Janus gardens and the gardening program since the very first plantings were made in 2010.  Thanks to their expertise and guidance, the Janus gardens flourish each year with a variety of flowers, native plants and a vegetable garden that continue to grow and provide a great deal of enjoyment to everyone at Janus.

The Out and About group at Janus recently visited Eagle Creek Park and were excited to participate in outdoor activities such as birdwatching and hiking and learning more about the reptiles and amphibians housed at the nature center.

The Doorways and Work Experience programs celebrated the arrival of spring with a special Spring Fling event planned by the “For the Love of Janus Guild.” The wonderful Janus volunteers provided a special afternoon of delicious treats and fun surprises.

Earlier this spring, Janus Golf and Batting opened for its third season as a recreational facility for the entire community. Located at 17400 Willow View Road, adjacent to the Janus facility on Westfield Road in Noblesville, Janus Golf and Batting offers a driving range, batting cages, as well as putt-putt golf.

Janus Golf and Batting’s operating hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday. For more information about Janus Golf and Batting, group visits and rates, please call (317) 385-1447 or contact Tim White at tjwhite@janus-inc.org.
