Spencer Paul Sutton, son of Rian Spencer and Stephanie Lydia (Hoeferle) Sutton of Elwood, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. Spencer and his twin sister Laine Charlotte Sutton, were born on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Community North, and welcomed by their three sisters, Taylor Christine Sutton, Hailey Rian Sutton and Raigen Marie Sutton.
With his happy and playful personality, mommy’s little mister had everyone he met wrapped around his little finger. Just one grab of your finger, or that Sutton smirk was all it took. From then on, you were addicted.
He was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, having been baptized while in the hospital by Pastor Gast.
Spencer was a true fighter, and the wonderful people in the N.I.C.U. at Community North made sure they had his back every step of the way. During the last week of his life, Spencer’s twin sister Laine was able to stay with him in the same room, giving them a chance to bond and channel each other’s strength.
Spencer is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Karen Wallace; paternal great grandmothers, Jesslyan “Jay” Sutton and Sue Wallace; maternal great grandmother, Charlene Hoeferle; maternal grandmother Alice Hoeferle; and by his paternal grandfather, Steve Hoeferle, who will truly miss his Super Spence. Also surviving are many, many, many, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William “Bill” Sutton; and paternal great grandfather, Charles “Sonny” Sutton.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St., Sheridan, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery in Sheridan. Pastor Doug Gast will be officiating.
